Become a
Reiki Healing Practitioner
Reiki is a spiritual healing art form that originated in Japan close to 3000
years ago.
The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word “Rei”
which means "Universal Life" and “Ki” which means "Energy".
Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living
things.
Ideally, one’s "Ki" or energy should be strong and free flowing, nourishing
and revitalizing the body and mind.
By easing tension and stress that often block the natural flow of energy, Reiki
assists the body in creating an environment that facilitates healing on all
levels -- physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Reiki is not a cure for a disease or illness. It is used to complement
traditional medicine and is practiced in many hospitals and medical care
settings.
Sessions are very pleasant, soothing, and invigorating. You might experience a
warming sensation or a tingling during the session, or nothing but sheer
relaxation.
Our Reiki sessions last for 60 minutes with time allotted to discuss any
particular concerns you might have or health issues you might be experiencing.
You will be asked to remove your shoes and rest comfortably on a message table.
The Reiki Practitioner will move through specific Reiki hand positions beginning
at your head or feet. Reiki is not a massage, but rather gentle hand placements
on or above the energy centers of the body.
Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki Master Classes are available.
